And ye,t Apple iPhone out sells Nokia every day of the week! Even "down and out" Nokia's Lumina beats the pants off the outdated iPhone. .

I think that is slowly changing, after talking to a few different novice users, I noticed that a number of them actually realized that the other offerings on the market actually had better options when compared to Apple's lineup. In fact many professional users are feeling abandoned and leaving Apple all together, as no new news of a Pro line have been announced. You still have those people that "assume Apple must be better" and I find a healthy dose of consumers like this that purchase these products. For example I had a friend that asked the question Apple or Android and one lady responded the IPHONE because it has more power to play my games (that's funny). Anyone familiar with technology would clearly understand that Apple is not exactly an earlier adopter, thus in some cases making there products less desirable to many. I myself find being locked down is of no use to me and being a power user I require hardware I can't get when I shop at the Apple store.

For all the hate about Metro and Windows 8, why don't you guys stick with Windows 7. Nobody is forcing anybody to upgrade.

The author states Google has had a hard time selling Chromebooks. I beg to differ. 3 models in Amazon's Top 20 laptops sold shows otherwise. A Chromebook currently holds the top spot.

Yep, just look at all those options for Windows 7 machines in stores. Oh wait, aside from old stock, there aren't any. (unless you buy a business machine online - most of those even have Windows 7 as the default, surprisingly enough)

My other main concern is Chrome as the browser. It's horrible. The only thing good about it, is that you can set all the cookies to run for only session, and that's what it does. Everything else about it is dysfunctional or limited. I was with you up to this point. I started using Chrome about 3 years ago, and within a week, I had abandoned Firefox and Safari. In my experience, Microsoft has never made a decent (let alone secure) browser, and the current version of MSIE has the worst UI yet. But, "good" is what's good for you; for me, that means the Chrome browser.

I am with you there. The only thing I do with Internet Explorer is go to google.com/chrome and download chrome.
