Planning To Build A Pc With A Ps4 Specs?..help? Planning to build a PC with a Ps4 specs?..help?

My old computer...
-Radeon HD 4670 1gb
-4gb RAM
-AMD athlon x2 240 2.8 ghz and a
-MSI 740gtm-P25 (MS-7302)
(I know its low end,but it still gets the job done :D)
...Im planning to build a new one, i saw the ps4 specs and i decided to build a pc that is close the ps4's power...My question is can i still use any part of this old PC or just build it from scratch?..oh and any suggestions as to what kind of hardware should i buy?...
P.S
Im just a gamer i dont do any hardcore video edting or stuff like that

You really don't want to do what you are asking for. The PS4 uses a very strange mix of parts with a heavy focus on GPU power only. The CPU they use is essentially a quad core netbook processor...

Truth be told, the best bet, is to build an i5 or i7 based machine with either an AMD 7870, or Nvidia GTX 670. That will net you a far better balance of power.

I have to agree with wj here. I have a PS2 & PS3 and have no intention of getting a PS4 ( maybe one of their handhelds though :D ). With The GPU & CPU recommendations he gave, you would be much happier.

Definitely listen to waldojim and coastie65 on this one, they've hit the nail on the head. The PS4 is essentially using a ultrabook CPU tied to a Radeon 7850. That's about mid-range or so for computers right now. The reason consoles can (to a certain extent) compare at all to PCs in gaming is the simple fact that the consoles are literally designed with gaming as their primary purpose. Therefore, they can maximize the power they pull from the hardware.
