Okay I've got a few questions.
First off I got windows 8 pro for free as a student and last Saturday I installed it on a 120gb SSD. since then I've had random freezes for what seems to be like no reason. When I boot back up I get no error report or anything. I had absolutely no issues in the consumer preview but yet now it seems like everything is going wrong in pro? what gives?

Also idk if this is related but If i shut my computer down my computer will not post/boot unless I shut it down 2 more times. Idk if this is releated to windows 8 or if its hardware releated but I Don't think its hardware as everything I'm using is brand new although my knowledge on hardware is a bit lacking(i'm a programmer =/)

how should I go about fixing this?
Thanks for any and all replies.

You say you also got a new SSD... This might be your problem. What SSD did you get?

Normally I would say that Samsung drives are nearly ideal SSD candidates. Try installing Windows 8 on the standard hard drive though, and see how it behaves. If everything works well, then try to find any Firmware updates for the SSD, or BIOS updates for your machine. Should everything be up to par already, or no change in behavior, then likely the system is just not compatible with that drive.
