One more nail in the coffin for MicroSoft. They had their opportunity to get the cell phone business right in 2010 with the failed Win7 Phone. In July 2011 Ballmer admits Windows Phone failure. When will he repeat that statement for Win8?

Interesting that the FF OS phone has a tile like (Metro) interface (UI) . Will Microsoft sue them for copying there IP?

Why So bitter toward Microsoft? Have you ever used a Windows Phone 8? Personally I find the OS to be superior to either IOS or Android (Both of which I have actually used.).

Why So bitter toward Microsoft? .

He does not need a reason: it is his constitutional right to be a fanboi!
To disagree without being disagreeable is the art of debate. Simply because one has a strong opinion, it does not necessarily make an alternative opinion less valid.

Well, after working 20 years or so with MS products and services a person gets tired of hearing Steve Ballmer talk out of both sides of his mouth. And yes I have used the phone for a day. Its has its good features and some bad like most new smart-phones. But I'll bet my last dollar as soon as I get to use the phone full time, Ballmer will pull the plug! This guy can't be trusted, Microsofts track record is poor. I can't understand why Microsoft users are so forgiving. Is it Low IQ or advanced alzheimer's that makes MS users forget the things this company had done to them. Why to you think people are moving over to Apple. Right now I would trust Apples CEO Tim Cook to babysit my grad kids, as for Steve Ballmer I won't give him access to the high school parking lot. He's a dumb ass. Lucky for him he has 40 Billions of our money in his personal back account, otherwise he would be just another street vender hocking bootleg copies of Wind 7.

Better, not me,

Oops, sorry for all the typos, taking about Steve Ballmer just get me going. Just for the fun of it, run a search on youtube on CEO Steve Ballmer. After you have had some time to stop laughing, let me know what your opinion is on this Guy, I would like to know. After seeing what he has to offer are you still interested in buying into any of there products. Lots of very good people work for Microsoft, they have good ideas, why are they working for Him is the question? " bitter toward Microsoft " not so much.

Steve Ballmer needs to take the rest of his life off.a go play golf! Let someone else take Microsoft for a ride.

OK, the rant is now over, its safe to come out now!

I could see you hate Steve Ballmer, but even with him running Microsoft, you still have to admit Micorosoft have great product. What Steve did to you, I do not know. Did he fired you? Did he not accepted one of your ideas? Who cares. This article is about Fire Fox new OS for phone and how it might push the battle for mobile to new heights.

As for Tim Cook been trusted, ha! This is the guy that contradicts Steve Job. No small Ipad said Steve. Tim says, I give your the Ipad Mini. The IPhone size is perfect said Steve. Tim says, I give you a bigger and taller IPhone. I give you magical things, says Steve. Tim says, I give you new Map Apps that don't work, but who cares is magical. I can continue giving you examples but you can get the drift.

I am pushing 69 & have been using winDOSE since Win3.1. I have been volunteer IT person for many people through the years. I have more than 20 working computers from Commodore VIC20- Amiga3000; Win3.1-Win7. After to many expensive upgrades of Windows and soft that no longer worked, I HAVE HAD ENOUGH. At my age it may be a challenge, but I'm going to learn to use Linux & help others make the switch.
Several years ago PC magazines said that the “new” Windows required at least a P4 machine. Other articles said that Linux was very fast on a P2, It also has proven to crash less than Win,x.
For the years that Amiga's were made I felt & still feel that it was by far the best PS for the time. Although it died went out of existence around ,96 there are still things that I wish that I could do with Win 7.
I have a lot of hope for Linux, and will be glad to get off $$$Windows$$$!

Ubuntu is the most likely way to go for you then and they just released an operating system for phones and tablets that run smoother and faster then Firefox OS seems like your phone or tablet will be integrated with your desktop computer !
