Is there software to burn DVDs for Vista?

Someone told me that Vista doesn't allow DVDs to be ripped ("backed up"), is this true? If this is false, what program would work well with Vista? Nero 7, DvD shrink? Thanks!

Hi digitalgadgetfanb. Before anyone answers this question, what types of DVDs are you trying to "back up?"
