http://www.diyaudio.....htmlapparently a few people have had the same problem unfortunatly I haven't seemed to found an answer yet. Is there anyway of contacting dell support if your still under warrenty? All the threads I found said to try to uninstall and resinstall your drivers/software.Also state what type of computer your using, os and all that.

I uninstalled the Dell Photo AIO Printer 922 at Start- All programs. Then I installed the Dell Drivers and Utilities Disc and waited for install Complete. At that point a window opened and said Preparing Dell All-In-one Center for First Use.Searching for scanning applications. Please wait. That wait has been over 1 hour and counting!I am about out of ideas.

was it the same process as your initial install? How long did it run before it error/or just gave up? Did you plug it in.. sorry for all the stupid questionssometimes you just have to do the uninstall reinstall thing until it takes it, or verify the install files.

I went to Programs and uninstalled Dell Printer and restarted; restart said that new hardware was detected and then I installed Dells Printer Drivers and Utilities Disc. Everything looked fine until I tried to scan and then a window appeared that said it was looking for Scan Apps.I will go through that process again.

http://www.soft32.co...63.htmldownload the instillation file, if that one doesn't work google for another one http://www.google.com/search?q=driver%22DellPhotoAIOPrinter+922%22&num=100&safe=off&filter=0make sure its the right instillation files for the model of the printer you have. Uninstall the ones you have, and install from that file.

I cannot speak first hand about the Dell All In Ones, but many HP printers that connect via the USB port, require you to install the software BEFORE connecting the USB cable to the computer. If you have your original quick start quide check that. It they are the same, disconnect the printer, uninstall the drivers, reinstall the drivers and then connect the printer.
