Hey people...By now you have heard about the new version of RealPlayer caled RP 11. I have contacted Real and Rhapsody many times. lol, they must be tiored of me by now. It's just that I have been waiting for a new player to come out since about 2004 and it's coming at the end of June 2007 according to Real and their employees. It's about time. I thought they had given up on the Real player software and were gonna promote the Rhapsody software instead. Thank God they didn't do that because I have been a die hard RealPlayer fan from back in the day.RealPlayer won't give any details on the exact date except that it's definitely coming in around the end of June 2007. I hope they mean it and don't push it back because of some complications like Microsoft with their software, eg. Vista. Does anyone know any rumours about the release date of the software but bear in mind the version coming at the end of this month is a beta version but they did tell me that the final version would be out soon after...possibly at the end of the year. Everyone has been buzzing about the fact that this real will able to stream and record audio and video and burn CDs and DVDs as well burn them. That's cool but I just want a fancy interface most of all after all this time and I want the new RP to play anything and few codecs to install if it isn't possible to play all formats without being able to download codecs for everything. By now it should have done major works. I have seen a few sneak peak screenshots and it looks good but I haven't seen much of the player from those shots to make a great decision on its hotness or lukewarmness. Hope everyone tries out the program when it comes out and give Real feedback as to what we like or dislike.One more thing again...if the release date gets out please inform me. Peace Out.

I would be really surprised if Real managed to get this out on time. One of the biggest issues with Vista is the way that it handles (or, doesn't handle) sound cards and any application that has to do with sound. Have you had a play with Vista yet? If you have, how does the current Real player work with it?On the other hand, if they release a 'non-Vista' version, I'm sure it will be nice :)
