I purchased the download version of Norton Ghost 12.0. I got it installed with no problems. The user is instructed to create a Symantec Recovery Disk, but when you try you find out that the downlaod verson doesn't have the necessay software to do this task. (The necessary software is on the Product CD but not the Download Version) Looking through the instructions you are told to go back to the dowload page where you originally downloaded the program and download the "Symantec Recovery Disk Image File" and create a Symantec Recovery Disk, but there is no download link to do so.I have spent at least 3 hours contacting support on their Chat Support, then Telephone Support and then e-mail support. There isn't any support personal smart enough to help me. They keep sending me back to the downlaod page, this is even after I explain to them that the link does not exist on that page. Can anyone reading this, help me?I have been a faithful user of Symantec for many years but I think I purchased my last program from them.

I have Ghost 10.0 I had a question about the live update. It took a month to get a non helpful reply. But when my system crashed 2 weeks ago and the recovery disk would not boot up to recover the system, I'm real P.Od. I had to partition the 2nd drive, install windows & ghost on it to recover the main drive. The basic OS and Recovery Environment are not on the installation disk to use as instructed. So I emailed their support detailing the problem and I got back (in 2 days)a page from the instruction manual with a "if this doesnt answer your question let us know. Thanks for nothing!. I replied to their standard followup email. I Let them know alright. Its been over a week, Hav'nt heard a thing. I guess all they train them to do in India is copy and paste their FAQs. I'm going to start emailing corp. H.Q. demanding a refund. I read your post hoping it would help me. Dido, Symantec sucks!
