I have been looking, searching and hoping for a solution to an issue. I keep getting closer, but not there. Here is the short of it: Trying to find a way to rip a CD, to PCM wav (no compression) have that program get the Artist and Title info from the CDDB and tag (metadata) the wav file with that info in the correct field. Here is the long of it:I know there is no exact standard for adding tags to WAV files, but it can be done and other programs can read those tags inserted by a different program. Adobe Audition lets you add tags (metadata) to a wave file and it can be read by other programs (not made by adobe) we use. My question comes with how can I have CDex or any ripping program take the info it gets from the CDDB and include metadata in the file. Just like and ID# tag does for an MP3. I also just found out that Windows Media Player rips files in wav format, get the info from the CDDB and writes the metadata (tag) in the wav file! Works perfect! But the song title is in the wrong field when I open that wav file in Adobe Audition. Maybe there is a registry edit or a setting I have not found that I can tell WMP where to put the song title.Or maybe another program that would get the job done. There is a ripping program that does exactly this, called Speedy, but its $99 and has had ripping issues in the past. So I would like to avoid it. Another program they have for FREE that adds tags (and other data like segue tones and intro time for automation systems (although must be done manually) is BSI Info editor.I point out these 2 programs because they put the info in the correct fields that Adobe Audition would use.I can provide any other info you may need to help and assist. I hope that this is one of the emails you can get to. Thanks for taking the time in advance!Brad
