In one of the recent PC World magazines, Steve Bass mentioned 3 programs, paid subscription wise, to get most spyware away from your computer. He listed Sunbelt's Counter-Spy, Spyware Doctor, and Webroot's Spy Sweeper. I've been a fan of Spy Sweeper, and the $29 license is well worth it.Just some stuff for you to look.http://www.sunbelt-software.com/Home-Home-Office/CounterSpy/http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/http://www.webroot.com/consumer/products/spysweeper/?id=H2-HHO_Links-SSNow, the biggest crock of crap I found about these 3 programs is that you must be a subscriber with a license to remove the spyware found with the programs. So before you go and download anything, if you plan on removing the spyware after doing the scan, plan on buying a license. Other than that, I'm just posting my thoughts in as what I would do in a spyware defense system.

{size:18px}[/size]:D Hi Piyushsingh : I ran a Spyware Doctor Scan on my Insurance Agent's computer ; was very unimpressed with it since what it "detected" would also be detected by the FREE version of SUPERAntiSpyware AND prevented from being on his computer IF he had installed the FREE "SpywareBlaster" from www.javacoolsoftware.com . From the 3 mentioned by "techie4fun", would rate them as follows : 1 ) Counterspy from Sunbelt Software ; 2 ) SpySweeper from Webroot ; 3 & Last) Spyware Doctor .

Hi Piyushsingh: Yes, i have a paid subscription to Spyware Doctor, and to tell you the truth, their shields are extremely good(i test them once in a while) bug fighting on the other hand is good.If you're looking to buy a scanner,I also have Xoftspy ,although i haven't read about it on this forum. This is one of the better one's,but be aware that this is only a spyware scanner.Another one you might want to consider is Asquared which is free or with shields if you buy.Depending how large or full you're hardrive is , the scanning process of Asquared could be slow, but it misses nothing. I hope this will help you in your quest for a scanner. FlashornPatience is life.
