I need help in choosing a camera. I want to take pictures of my kids at their school and other functions. For example, if my daughter is in a choir concert and I am sitting in the audience, I want to be able to take a clear good picture of her singing. The camera I have right now ( an inexpesive digital), in this situation would give me a really DARK picture that you may or may not be able to tell if it is a group of people. The camera I have now, takes good pictures if you are REALLY close to the subject of your picture. There are so many cameras out there with such a big price range, I dont even know where to begin! Please help!

digital cameras have come a long way in the last few years. you can find a suprisingly good camera for about 100 to 120 dollars. if you can spend more then you can get a camera that will last for years to come. id recommend going to a electronics store such as best buy. there you can talk to people and they can help you choose the best camera for youre budget. what you can also do at a store that you cant do online is try the cameras. pick one up and start taking pictures. if there isnt a best buy around you then you can go to walmart and do basically the same thing except the people dont know as much. hope this helps :D
