I plan to give a presentation of a DVD movie and need to edit a 2 hour movie down to one hour. I want to burn the edited version to a DVD with pauses at the edit point. Can anyone recommend an inexpensive editing SW? The DVD does not have copy protection.

I have used two-- Ulead Movie maker and Roxio. I was told by the Best Buy salesperson that both would do the job. The Roxio, which had no documentation, instructions, etc, I was able to work it once (edit a Tivo DVD of some old fights) but took forever and again, could not repeat. So I bought the Ulead and it had little to no documentation as well. (I don't understand why they can't put an pdf file in there explaing how their software works in detail.) But it would not edit period. Needed a more expensive version it appeared. Let me know what you find out as I have a lot of old fights I would like to edit the commercials out of as well I would like to group by fighter.

It worked well for me to edit/burn a family movie DVD.

With the help of this thing, I believe, you can solve the problem. There is also a tryal version. The program costs about $29. I think, it's not very expensive for a good program. Moreover, Axara Video Converter is a Video Converter  so, you can use it in different ways. See: http://www.axaramedi...VideoConverter/
