I use Explorer as my browser and when I open a Web page, it is to wide for my monitor window. I have to use the horizonal scroll bar to scroll right to see the whole page. How can I reduce the page width to fit my window?

what size monitor are you using?and it is up to the website developer to code it properly to fit on the majority of peoples computers best. If your screen is too small (according to the majority of use) this could account for it. Generally people try to code for a resolution as low as 800 x 600.

It will largely be governed by how the website developer coded the page.If you are running Internet Explorer 7, however, you can "zoom" the display. It is availabe in the lower right hand corner of the IE window. Reducing the "zoom" to 75% or 50% will fit it all in one window. You might not be able to read, however!

[quote name='cwrjr']My screen resolution is 800 x 600. My problem is not just one web page, all web pages are to wide and I have to scroll to the right to see them.It has to do with the programmers for the sites. More people are beginning to design pages for 1024 x 768 resolution and not worrying as much about the 800 x 600 people. Fewer and fewer are using that resolution, so they are trying to make the best site for the majority. In order to view all your pages w/ out the horizontal scroll bar you will need to adjust your own resolution. With a 17" monitor you should be able to easily go up to that resolution. I was using my laptop which had a 17" monitor at 1600 x 1200, granted that is quite high ;)
