system mangement denied

c:WINDOWS/system32 system access is deniedI cannot manage my system 32, defrag, etc.Please help.Task manager is working.Dottie:(

are you on an admin account because it can only be accessed in an admin account.

What OS are you using?Keep in mind that the owner account does not necessarily mean you have admin rights, especially on Vista (the admin account is disabled by default, so you have to manually enable it).

Can you get to Services by right-clicking My Computer ---> Manage ----> then expand Services and Applications and clicking on Services???
