I am using Office 2003 and Outlook 2003 on my workstation. The other workstations in the office are using Outlook 2000. When I email an appointment to them they end up line after line of information, I guess for thew email system. I can pick out the pertinate information but it is difficult to impossible for the less computer literate. How can this be corrected?

Hi Fertile80. There is one question that I have. Why aren't all computers on the network running one platform, whether Office 2000 or 2003?The best, and most effective answer is to either A) Downgrade your computer to Office 2000 (I doubt that is a very good answer) or B) Upgrade the other computers to Office 2003 (or at least Outlook 2003).Now, when you say, "line after line of information," can you be more specific? I am sure there are individuals in here who do not use invitations or appointments within Outlook.

I am sure there are individuals in here who do not use invitations or appointments within Outlook.I wanted the same clarification. I don't know if I will be able to help or not, but I certainly need a clarification on what "line after line of information" means. I have my suspecions...And I have used invitations for meetings. It will somewhat depend on whether or not they are running an Exchange server or if it is just POP email. Things are a little different depending on which setup it is. I am not an expert in this area, but I might be able to suggest some things.

I am using 2003 because I do the accounting and needed features in excel so upgraded my office. That upgraded me to 2003. I don't see why that would make a difference because if I send an appoint ment to you or someone else away from the business, I don't know what version they are using and it id suppose to work.Right now we usea POP server.

[quote name='mphenterprises']Now, when you say, "line after line of information," can you be more specific? Please answer ALL of the questions. And to answer your query regarding why it should matter. We only go by the information you provide us. I asked specifically about why your office has two separate versions. Regardless of what happens outside of your office, you should only concern yourself as to why you cannot get it to work in your office. How many separate POP accounts are setup for your organization? If more than one, do you get this same situation regardless of which POP account you use?

I have a newer version of Outlook bacause I have a newer version of Office. No one else has a need for the features of the newer version of Office so for fiscal reasons we only upgraded office on my workstation

This is now the third time I have asked you about the specifics behind the information listed within the invatation. Can you please detail exactly what one would see if he or she tried to view an appointment or invitation you send to him or her?

Okay, that seems like the information listed within the "Options" section of any email....very interesting.Okay, as another test, can you please send me an invitation/appointment? I use 2007 so I may not get the same affect as the others but at least I can see the actually invitation/appointment.I will send you a private message with my email address.
