8) Hello, Friends!Since I did not see a post on this topic, I hope I am creating a useful one and not an unnecessary one.Anyway, I could certainly use some insight on the pros and cons of this particular program that I learned about in a recent PC World newsletter I received. It sounds like a useful program, but I would like to know if this is really so for me. I have to consider that I own a Toshiba Laptop with Vista, and that my e-mail accounts are Hotmail, Yahoo, and AOL (all free).Ergo, I hope to hear from someone with some knowlege on this one.Sincerely,Raymond070748

{size:18px}[/size]:D Hi Ray : I use only web-based email accounts, so I found & read the "Column"; never heard of Phishers "breaking" into email accounts . The column's Conclusion is the Best : "Of course, the way to maximize your protection is to avoid keeping sensitive financial data in your Web mail in the first place. " The "program" offered at OneStatFree seems a waste of time, providing useless info that would be given to Whom !? And as far as anti-phishing is concerned, I believe the Experts on the Castlecops Forums to be very good; see : www.castlecops.com/f122-PhishingFraudandDastardlyDeeds.html

And even then, if its something that is asking to correct an account or somehow ultimately use my password, then I will either call or go to the website manually myself. Don't EVER use embedded links in email messages. I am even VERY careful with embedded links from friends. But, then I am paranoid!
