Is that correct? It appears that you have the entire video that you want on a DVD as an AVI file. Is that correct? If so, then you should be able to get a DVD burner (if you don't already have one) and using some DVD creation software, convert and burn the AVI file on the DVD in a format that should work on a DVD player. Most DVD burners come with such software. If you go this path, you will likely be best served using a DVD-R disk as they tend to be the most compatible with most DVD players. But, you should be aware that not all DVD players will play a video DVD burnt on a computer.

Hi- Yes I do have it on a cd only. The trick is getting it to a dvd. When I bought my burner it came with Nero (basic). Should I download the cd to my computer and try to burn it to a dvd that way? I tried everything with Nero originally burning straight from my computer.I couldn't get it done. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it... pluto8963

Or something else? What is your burner? It is a CD burner? Or is it a DVD burner (DVD burners can burn CDs too)?Let's start with those questions and we will go from there.

smax013- I have a rosewill dvd burner and it came with basic nero. What I did was, make a part video (from a mini dv camera) and I added some still photos toit. I then saved it to avi using win movie maker. I was able to download it to a cd. When Itried to get it on a dvd, I failed. I even used a code program and still couldn't get it right. So in answer to your ques. yes, I want to make a dvd out of the cd I now have.

Just want to make sure that I understand (I can be dense sometimes :D ).What software came with your DVD burner? Was it just a basic Nero package?Basically, what you need is some sort of DVD video creation software. I believe Nero has such an ability...assuming the version that came with your drive has it. If not, then you might need to upgrade Nero or find some other software. With such a piece of software, you should be able to import the AVI video into that software package and then create a video DVD with the software.

smax013- My burner came with Nero ver.6.3.1.26. It's an oem suite. I do have a disk I got with my video camera for dvd authoring (ulead) authoring. Yes, the cd does have still pics as well as some video on it. Again, thanks for any help.

Again, thanks for any help.If you have DVD authoring software that came with the camera (or burner), then that is what you should be using. It should be able to import in an AVI file that you could then incoporate into your DVD project. If you have seperate still pictures (i.e. that are NOT part of the AVI file), then most DVD authoring programs allow you to create picture slides shows on the DVD using still pictures. If you don't have any DVD authoring software, then you could look at something like Adobe Premiere Elements or upgrade to a full version of Nero (current full versions of Nero come with DVD authoring software I believe). There might be some free alternatives, but someone else would have to point you to those..I am not familiar with any.
