The jury is still out on how much I like it. The lack of a good way (for me at least) of seeing which posts are new is kind of a pain for how I use the forum. I kind of a way to work, but it is kind of a little inconvient. My only other gripe at this point is that it is kind of slow...all the added graphics and web apps seems to slow stuff down as they have to load...I guess in that sense, maybe it is like Vista! :^0
I agree that it will likely grow on me. I can say that after using the PCWorld forums, I did not like the MacWorld forum software, but it has grown on me. So, I guess this new forum software will grow on me as well.

I don't see PMs either. You might want to raise that issue with Kellie in the "Welcome" discussion.

Think of it like closet space. Some people only have a small closet. Some people have large closets. Some People have small Walk-In Closets. Some people have large Walk-In Closets. No matter how much space you have, it's good to know it is there.

I think it has to do with you deleting the unallocated volume. If the volume were unallocated, it would be as simple as right clicking on C and then clicking on expand on the pull down menu. It takes a few seconds and its done.
I unfortunately have only Windows 2000 available to me during the day, so most detailed XP questions and almost all Vista questions have to wait until I can my hands on my machines.

At this point, I'm not sure that even a system restore would work, as it would probably only recognize the allocated space and treat the Free Space as unavailable. I will continue researching as I get opportunities.
Since your machine is new, you might contact support. After all, you should have 1 year of support. If you get an answer post it for all of us.

I would assume that the "free space" could be formatted (or something) to take it back to a full "lettered" drive partition (volume). I am thinking that it is considered an assigned "partition" but has just not been formatted so that it is an active volume. If Lilxkid24 can get it back to a full "lettered" partition, then you might be able to provide guidance to remove the partition to unallocated space that can then be "extended" into the C: partition.

Other volumes can be "expanded" to take up a part or all of the unallocated space. The problem is that somehow lilxkid got the space classifed as Free Space and it will not allow him to format the space nor expand the adjacent volume to occupy that "Free Space".
This one may have to be referred to Bill's experts in Redmon. :D

What you are saying is that Mr. Murphy decided to make a house call to Lilxkid! ;-) He tends to do that on occassion.
