Has anyone else noticed that in Internet Explorer, the new community system always puts a yellow triangle with explanation symbol in the lower left of the screen with the text "Done, but with errors on page."
I noticed this initally on my laptop and didn't think too much of it. The laptop has XP Home and IE7 on it. Then when I was on my older desktop, with XP Pro and IE7 it caught my attention. I then booted up my newer desktop with Vista HP and IE7 and it was there.
Then I go to work, and on IE6 running on an HP desktop running Windows 2000 off a intranet connection through the Corporate Office in Lake Forest, Il, and then to the internet, it was still there!
Everything seems to work ok, which is not always the case with an error on an internet page.

Yes, I noticed it too.
At first, I was also getting an error showing up on the page. I later realized that the posting page (where you type posts) had a Rich Text tab that was not loading properly. I was only getting the Plain Text option/tab and thus there was the error message because the Rich Text option/functionality was not loading. It now loads properly, but I still get the little error message in the lower left corner.

I noticed it as well. I also notice that it takes Internet Explorer (6 or 7) longer to load the forum pages than Firefox. I can normally load each page instantly when using Firefox. However, if I switch to IE7, it will take a good 10-15 seconds to load. I tried an experiment and uninstalled IE7 and tried this with IE6 and I get a delay of about 15-20 seconds.

If I were a conspiricay advocate, I would think that the special ops guys from Mozilla had infiltrated the community system and modified it to give Firefox an advantage. :^0
I didn't notice it at first because I was using Firefox, but Firefox was acting up on my webmail account on the laptop, so I flipped over and was useing IE7. I hadn't noticed the speed difference, because everything is slower on satellite. My download is about 750Kbps, with no clouds, no wind, no birds and me standing on the front porch on my left leg pointing to the sky with my right arm. Otherwise, its slower. :( But it's a lot faster than dialup. I could not imagine going back to dial up even though it is still set up (for my e-mail). That way I get to pay 2 internet bills. :_|
I figure we'll get DSL when the rest of the country is finished with it. That's what happens when your so far out in the boonies, it's a three day mule ride to the store.

LOL Yeah, I understand what you are saying RGreen. I have Sprint Mobile USB Internet and my speeds are extremely faster than dial-up, somewhat faster than DSL, and much slower than cable. I had Comcast for a long time and it took me a while to break myself out of the "speed" factor. Now, I barely see a difference...

I have cable modem service and it is still slow in IE. I have a feeling is a matter of IE having more trouble procession the scripting that is necessary for the forum software to work because my faster connection does not seem to benefit me that much. I believe it is using Java...maybe it is Micro$oft issues with Java (Sun and Micro$oft have butted heads over Java issues).
When I accessed the site using Safari and Firefox on my MacBook Pro last night, it loaded blazingly fast compared to IE. Now, the Rich Text post option was not available in Safari for some reason (I did not type of post using Firefox, so I don't know if it was missing there as well)...only the Plain Text option.
And rgreen4, put down the leg...your neighbors are probably thinking you are weird if you stand out of the porch with your leg up to help the satelite reception! ;-)
