Incorporate the projectors with Microvision's Picoprojector! Then you don't even need a cord or TV!

I has to be an Apple thing--does anybody else think that $50.00 is rather extravagant for a flippin' piece of wire??? You call this inexpensive??? Then there are those folks to paid $600 for a FruitPhone!

The world is going nuts.

Matt, you are an idiot. Apple just hose millions of ipod users by trashing their already purchased ipod accessories. Now only those accessories blessed with this new apple chip will work. That means my iHome no longer works. My DLO made for ipod dock w/tv output no longer works. But after paying $400.00 for my new ipod I bought as an upgrade to my previous iPod, now they want me to be ok with my now useless accessories that I paid $much for and fork over another $49 to have limited use of video out. I am supposed to be happy that its only $49. I would have paid $100 more for the device if I could still use my Philips dvd player with the stupid thing.
Mine goes back to apple today the sorry no good SOB's

Actually this is not as bad is it sounds... A charger is included so it's noe too overpriced. And the cable functions as an AV cable, Charging and Synch cable. Quite a nice multifunction cable, but pricey if you just wanted an AV cable.
The problem with iPod accessories is not all Apple's fault.
Apple notified producers of iPod accessories a couple of years ago that it was phasing out Firewire support on newer iPods. For a while Firewire has not been supported on the new iPods, but the Firewire charging circuit has continued to work, and the accessory makers have continued to use it.
Now, only USB charging works, which I don't like as much as the FW charging. FW Charging can supply more power, and can work even if the computer is asleep.
