My OS is WindowsXP SP2

When attempting to install the software, Chapura KeySuite, the install aborts and the message, "InstallShield® Launcher Setup has encountered a problem and needs to close." Chapura told me that this is a Windows error, and could not do anything to fix it. I then clicked on the error's tech note but what appears is no help to me. The note is about ten pages or so. It begins:

Error Signature

App Name: setup.exe AppVers. 6.31.100.1190

ModName: kernel32.dll

ModVers. 5.1.2600.3119

Offset: 000afb6

I looked up the error in the MS Knowledge Base, where I found "Error in Ikernel.exe When You Install Programs By Using InstallShield. I followed the instructions, but when I got to expanding the i386 folder from the XP disk, I did not know what file name to look for.

I really need to install this software since it synchs seamlessly with my PDA, which I depend on for all of my calendar, contact and task information.

Try re-installing iKernel from the following link and see if it solves your problem.

Download iKernel engine update and save it to your Desktop then reinstall.

I used the kernel update, restarted my pc, and then tried to install the KeySuite software. Yikes! I received the error again! Any other thoughts??:|

Thanks for you help.

This website looks like what you need and gives instructions, but you said eariler that you weren't sure of what file to get.
support.microsoft.com/kb/810608

I believe the file you need to extract from your Windows CD to your machine is called filename.tlb
