Okay, so I'm upgrading my desktop's graphics card system from a single nVIDEA GeForce 7300GT 256MB, and I was hoping if you had any suggestions. I have a budget of $245, and intend to do some gaming and digital photo editing. I would prefer the card(s) to have at least 383MB of memory, if not 512MB. If possible, I would like SLI or Crossfire(also EVGA for nVIDEA's if possible) I don't care if it's nVIDEA or ATI, as long as they have good quality.

I think you mean 320mb which is used with the 8800GTS. This is an unbelievable step up from the 7300 (I had one a while ago and quickly upgraded to a 7950 gt, another WORLD of difference). Its not the ram on the video card, but the gpu which matters. If you have a big monitor and like to play games with a high resolution (ie higher than 1680x1050), then you will need 512 or more video ram. Are you sure you want sli? Many people have problems with the setup, you can usually just get 1 better card, instead if 2 mediocre cards. It also depends on if you want DX10 (vista). There aren't many games yet that support it, but they're coming (you'll need any 8xxx series card for DX10 - 8500, 8800, etc.). DX9 will still be supported for a few years yet, so there is the option of a 7800, 7900, 7950, 1950, etc. I'd suggest going for the higher end cards, because if you don't like the 7300, the 7600 isn't too far away, but the 7900 or 7950 is a huge performance boost (7950 is the newest and last of the 7 series).
I guess the decision would be up to you between 8800gts, 7950gt and a 1950.
