Do eBay Ads Go Overboard?

EVERYTHING ebay does goes overboard. I don't know why people even use it anymore. Prices for items on the site are higher than anywhere else, and the ridiculous shipping price games the selers play are a joke. Ebay customer service is among the worst on the web, they do NOT care about their customers, and the ads are just another example of the company philosophy.

I greatly dislike the ads plastered all over eBay, it just makes the site look cheap and unprofessional. If eBay can't make money running their business, maybe it is time someone bought eBay and made it both secure and user friendly. The more junk eBay adds to the site, the worse things work and the harder it becomes to do what I came to eBay to do - buy stuff.
It is also appalling that the ads directly compete with hard working sellers on eBay, what is the point of trying to sell something on eBay if ads are going to show buyers the same item off eBay at Amazon or Alibris or Blockbuster?
Please eBay, just make the site simpler and safer to use. If you do, people will stick around and spend some money. Two things we don't need: 1. To be entertained. 2. To be distracted (by ads).

The deal with eBay and the ads they are placing on the site goes beyond what everyone thinks. The real thruth is the revenue from the ads comes to replace what they have lost in listing and ending fees, store fees and all the bunch of fees they have charged the sellers for years. The reason why they have lost so much money is because of the thousands of frauds happening on eBay EVERYDAY. There is thousands of sellers who shill bid on themselves, sell fraudulent items or copies, in the case of art many have no absolute remorse to copy images from photographers or other artists selling them for "originals" on eBay, have highly exhagerated and worse many of those sellers are powersellers today, and God forbids someone dares to report them to eBay cause eBay would protect them like crazy. All this and more has caused customers to just plain leave eBay and never shop again there, loosing renevue which is replaced with ads. So instead of cleaning the site it's better to cover all with ads.
