Hi Lindar, welcome to the PCW forums :-) ,
Yes, you posted this in the right forum, just to lat you know. Okay, a few things I'd try that might solve your problem(sorry if they don't work):
- Read this article, it has instructions how to recover almost anything off the hard-disk-drive
-create another account under "admin." (if possible)
- Also: try not to save anything to the Hard-drive while his/her account is deleted, this makes it more difficult to retrieve the lost data
-Note: nothing on a PC is truely "deleted" until you format the drive.
Hope this helps you recover the admin's account,
-TechyGuy

Hi Lindar. Okay, I take it that you created an administrative account, correct? This could be very simple; however, you may need to provide more information. Now, from the verbiage of your post, I would gather you are on some sort of time constraint, correct? Have you tried a System Restore? Essentially, a System Restore is meant to revert a computer back to a previous point in time. If you are not sure how to do a System Restore, follow these steps:
- Click on Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore
- Make sure the radial button is next to "Restore my computer to an earlier time" and click "Next>"
- The next screen is a calendar. If you just recently deleted the account, click on a restore point from yesterday or sometime this week and click "Next."
- On the next screen, you will see the summary of all changes. Once you click Next>, the System Restore process will begin
This process will not cause and files to be deleted and all emails will be secure. The only changes are system changes. Programs that were installed since the date you choose would have be to reinstalled.
Now, if this does not work, post and let us know. We can try some more options.

Thanks techyguy and mphenterprises
I did try restore but to no avail. I just don't know how I managed to delete his account so easily and couldn't get it back.
I'll try the advice in the article you sent techyguy about recovering deleted files. I just hope it's in simple terms lol
I's bedtime for me so I'll try it tomorrow. Any more advice in the mean time is much appreciated.
Thanks again guys x
p.s. He knows it's deleted now so no time limit. It's just about recovering the files now. Sentimental photos and stuff, unless someone knows a way to restore the account.

Okay, well, in addition to what Techy posted, we prepared several Documents that reference all the information listed within the article. You can access all the Documents here:
Part I
Part II
Part III
Within each Document you will see this Forum's mantra, Backup, Backup, Backup. I am going to be honest with you, the chances of data recover drops significantly the more you use the computer. Each action that is performed by the hard drive affects the recovery. I personal have no recommendations for Recovery applications; however, the only constant recommendation is by one of our members, Smax013. He suggests Data Rescue. Here are some options:
Data Rescue Full Version - $99
Data Rescue Demo Version
You can get the demo version to see if a full recovery is possible. If it is, click on the first link and buy the full version. Now, he was not able to immediately jump in and provide any other information; however, this won't hurt until he can jump in and give his opinions.
