Hi Mikey. Welcome to PCWorld. :-)

Applications like this are used to convert video files (.avi, .mpg, .mov, etc.) to DVD format. You will end up with a Video File which you would then use to create a DVD. Yes, you will need some sort of DVD burner to create a DVD. Now, do you have a DVD burner or are you getting an error message stating that your DVD burner is not recognized by Windows?

The software itself has a burner, but the scroll box with a CD off to the side has nothing in. so it dont no what to burn to. also on another DVD Burning program, it says no media or media not writable, but its a brand new DVD-R. whats up with that

Okay, let's just make sure of something...do you or do you not have a DVD burner? If you do not have a DVD burner, I am not sure how an application will burn a DVD without one.

Now, if you do have a DVD burner, it may be best to get some screen shots of what you see. So far, I am still a bit unclear as to what is going on. If you do not know how to upload screen shots within this forum, please follow the steps within this Document.

Mikey, I had a hunch this was exactly what you were trying to do. As I stated, applications like this are used to convert video files to a DVD format. According to your screen shot, you are trying to copy copywritten DVDs. This is absolutely not allowed to be discussed within this forum.

Please read the Community Standards for full details. I am sorry, we cannot assist you further and this Discussion will be closed. If you have any concerns as to why your Discussion was closed, please contact any of the Member Moderators or Kellie, the Forum Moderator.
