Hello Antony and welcome to PCWorld. :-)
Okay, you really need to provide a lot more information than you have up to this point. From what I gather, you installed an application and your computer gave you a message stating that it does not detect the newly installed application, correct?
- What is the exact error message?
- Are you sure the application installed completely?
- How do you know the new application is working?
- Some applications ask you to restart the computer before using the application for the first time. Did you do that?
Please provide as much information as you can so we can try and help you.

:D Hi Anthony :
It is very misleading for PC Tools to call "Threatfire" an "antiVIRUS"; they bought the former Cyberhawk,
which is considered a behavioral "HIPS" ( Host-based Intrusion Prevention System ) program , renamed
it, then called "it" an "antiVIRUS" because that it more well known to the public than "HIPS" . IF your
computer has a Win XP SP2 Operating System, its "Security Center" will NOT recognize this program
as an antiVIRUS program since what Threatfire performs does NOT fit its "definition" of an
antiVIRUS program . The Best Source of Info on these types of programs is the Wilders Security
Forums ( wilderssecurity.com/ ) and an interesting Thread there is
[http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=190786&highlight=threatfire] . If your Operating
System is Vista, this program may not even be necessary .
