I recently had a Lexmark X6570 Wireless printer. Nice except for the fact it wouldn't install right on my Dell, operating system Windows XP. When installed it would print once and then not print a second time. The problem was with the Print Monitor Device.

I had called Lexmark a number of times, and with the testing they said the printer was operating just fine. I had installed and uninstalled many mnay times. I got to the point that I took it back and exchanged it for a HP C7280. It installed fine after my husband told me that proper steps.

Has anyone encountered a problem with this model?

Yes, my wife has just purchased one of these and is experiencing the exact same problem - it will allow you to print once and that's it! The only way to get it to work again is to completely re-install the software/drivers. Installation from the disk supplied was also a problem and ended up having to download the necessary software from the lexmark website which were missing the OCR and fax options.

The stupid thing is that we also have a second PC and laptop connected to the printer and they work fine with it! Must be something specific about my wife's PC but cannot see what it could be.

Oh well, guess it'll have to go back.
