Hi Gemini. Okay, well, this is the first we are hearing of another computer, I believe. However, I do not think it will that simple. If I am not mistaken, AOL is one of those applications that have to install itself deep within the registry of the computer. I do not think one can simply copy the Program Files from one computer into another computer. Now, if you initially downloaded AOL 9 and then kept the executable file (.exe), that would be a simple matter.

Now, previously, I offered AOL 9.1 as an option for what you need. Have you look into that? I do not think there is much difference between 9.0 and 9.1. However, if you are completely locked onto AOL 9.0, the only thing I can think of, short of installing the hard drive of the old computer into the new computer, is to try the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard in Windows XP.

Other than that, I do not believe a straight burn would be of any good to you in your situation.

Hi just a quick update and to say thank you to you and everyone else who ioffered me advice with trhis problem, i never did manage to install AOL VR, but i finally managed to install a new copy of AOL 9, i did this with the help of AOL`s Live Help facility, for anyone else who may expierience the same problem here`s the steps i followed, luckily i had an old AOL version 6 cd so i was able to install that, so at least i could access the internet, then i done the following, Cick Start, then Run, Type regedit and press enter, Double click HKEYLOCALMACHINE, Double click Software, Delete the America Online key, Close the registry editor, Press the Ctrl, Alt and the Del, Click the Task Manager, Click Processes, Click explorer.exe, Click End Process, Click File, Click New Task (Run), Type explorer, Click OK, I then downloaded AOL 9 from a link given to me by AOL and hey presto it works, anyway thanks again to everyone for all there help which was much appreciated.

Hi Gemini. I am glad you were able to get your situation resolved. Something still bothers me. You could have had this situation resolved a long time ago by just installing 9.1. Can you please tell us why the strong fixation to 9.0?
