Doggie Thread # 2

Hi, Everybody! There have been a few positive responses to my last two blogs, The Kiss and Doggie Thread. Thus, Doggie Thread # 2.
Dogs don't care if you're rich or not. When you're sick, they're there. When you're sad and worried, they sit by your side putting their head on your lap as if saying "it's gonna be ok, mom, dad, it's gonna be ok, I'm with you right here."
They accept you no matter who you are and no matter what you do... You are their whole life. And for some people their dog is their whole life as well!
With all of that in mind, I thought that it might be a good idea to create a thread, where people could post a picture of their beloved dog/puppy. Some of those pictures might be quiet, some may be exciting, others may be funny.
I look forward to seeing a picture of your "best friend."

Thanks, Adama. I didn't realy upload this picture, i just went to myspace and copied the picture from my photo album. Sorry for the useless link, I didn't put it there, it's just something that happens when you "Copy + Paste" a MySpace image to somewhere else, and if you delete the link, the image won't display.

This was Windy (Windy Astabliss), I got her in 1982 at the age of 4 months. She was the first dog I had owned since I was a kid, 20 years earlier. What with school, the Navy, and a job that transferred me a lot there just wasn't time. If you had told me when I was growing up I would get a Dobe, I would have said you were crazy, everyone knew how terrible they were. I had stopped in a little auto parts store on the way home to get a tube of grease and she was in there. Her owner was her breeder and had actually given her to the parents of a good friend of his to replace a small dog they had lost.
They did not realize that at birth, most puppies are the same since (except for the toys). About the time she was 4 months old, they realized she was going to be a big dog (she weighted 75 pounds when full grown). I fell in lover with her, and she became the foundation of a line of Dobes that I was raising. This picture was taken in the back yard when I was living in Lynchburg, Va. I was blessed with her presence for 7 years. Dobes are short lived with the average being about 7 years. More to come.

I don't have any puppy dogs in my life (well, not mine. My neighbor up the street has a german shepard that always barks at my living room window because sometimes my cats lay on the windowsill.), but my parents have two golden retrievers.
They also use those invisible fence things to keep the dogs from wandering in the forest or going in the water (they live on a lake) when they shouldn't.
Here's a short and not too exciting video that I made of one of their dogs when I was visiting my parents last year.

Here we have fat boy Wylie, our 4 year old full breed Beagle. He enjoys being lazy. He's also the dog that you could abuse to death, play around, bite, wrestle, cuddle, sleep with, and he'll still be wagging his tail greeting you when you come home from work the next day.
Next I'm introducing to you Sam our Hound/Beagle mixed breed. He's less than 3 years old, and he can be extremely agressive. He's a very lovable dog, but he has a high tendency of growling at whatever occurs within the home boundaries. I guess that's expected from a hound pupp! You can play with him but there's certain types of play activities that are allowed with Sam. If you go too far, he'll let you know what he allows and what he doesn't allow.

Hi, TFF. Aaw, Wiley and Sam, huh? The perfect pair of sidekicks for you, I'm sure. Thank you for sharing their pics with us.
Do you notice that when their tongues are sticking out, it looks like they're smiling... like maybe they know something we don't....? Hmmmm
