And, isn't the procedure for inserting a YT vid the same as it was with the old forum? how come the Mods have to fix the embed code for the vids?

Nope, it is not the same.

If you want to know how to do it, then this should help:

Embedding YouTube Videos in the PCW Community document

It has been modified to show how it is done with this software.

I have fixed the embed codes for my buddy coastie65 to help him out as he might not be aware of how to do it with the new software (we are all still learning).

Who would've thunk it. I have never had a dog that would try and talk back at you when you scolded him. The first time it was noticed was when my mother was scolding him about something and he got down on his stomach and was grumbling at her. She looked at him and said, "Don't you talk back to me". I cracked up. She said it was bad enough that she had 5 kids that got sassy, and now at her age she wasn't going to put up with it from a puppy. By that time I was beside myself laughing.

ROTF!! I love that! What a great story.

Gotta run. Have a great night!

I think you did the right thing leaving puppy inside when she goes out... I think some girl dogs are more sensitive about things like that than boy dogs.

That and dogs (especially male puppies) have an annoying habit of sniffing a certain end of female dogs, which can be rather annoying when "you" are trying to "use the facilities"...aka Posted Image. (and hear I was wondering how I would ever find a way to use that...Posted Image)

Max had a tendency of doing that with Duchess (my first dog that my parent's ended up keeping)...more so when he was a puppy. As a result, we would tend to let Duchess out without Max to bother her.

Precisely. This little guy isn't but 4 months old and thinks he's ready for studhood. He isn't ready to be neutered yet, but will be as was Andy. Their predecessor Bear wasn't and in fact I did put him to stud. I was a lost cause as he thought she was just another dog to romp with and could care less about the business at hand. :D

Ummm, Furniture is not out of his realm either. Mostly I have to get on him for chewing on the legs of my chair. Usually he'll lay under here and prop his chin up on one of thenmand once in a while I hear the sorta crunching sound and I'll holler at him and he'll stop. Right now he is hanging out the front door like the earlier pictures of my last one, Andy. The only difference is that Andy wasn't barking nonstop. Hopefully he'll outgrow that.

Hi Coastie!

Ooh, I remember that picture of Andy hanging out the front door. So Mo is doing the same thing, huh? I guess he likes looking out the window, and letting people know he's the "King of the World"! LOL

He was 5 months old on the first and is big enough to hang out the door. Now I'm going to have to pick up "Chunky" and put him in the bathtub for his bath. So far, I can still pick him up with no problems, although he weighs at least 35 lbs.

Hi, Try getting him some "Chew Toys" to Chew on such as a Nylabone. Mine likes to run around with his squeeky toys and squeeking them. The one before him, Chewed ion the deck rails as well as the woodwork in the house. This not to mention a boatload of remotes.

While Buddy has settled down quite a bit, he still shreds his toys rather quick. Most of the "squeaky toys" that are available for dogs are of cheap, hard rubber that Buddy will shred in about a day or two. I have found some rather soft, rubber toys that he does not kill right away and actually last quite awhile...but he can kill the "squeaker" in them rather quickly still if I let him go to town on them without paying attention.

He does a rather good job of gnawing on Nylabones as well (I get him the "Wolf" style and he still shreds them rather quickly). I had to toss two today as he had "killed" the "knuckle" ends of them both. He still has three around the house.

"Ropey" toys are the REAL fun ones. He will shred those rather quickly leaving little strings ALL over the place and the "ropey" toy looking like a huge mess of string.

He had not really chewed furnature, but he has chewed up my carpet in a couple of places. Fortunately, it is older carpet and I will likely replace it sometime in the relative near future so I am not too bothered by it.

He LOVES shredding his "pet" beds. He will rip a hole in them and then start pulling out all the stuffing. He has not done this as much.

He is definitely starting to mellow out some, but he still has a way to go. I still do NOT let him in the computer room with all those "yummy" computer cables and such to chew on! :D

Oh, and if you leave any little scrap of ANYTHING on the floor somewhere, he will find it. Paper clips, twisty ties, rubber bands, food crumbs, coins, screws, etc. Because of this trait, I had to carry him through my breezeway to take him outside when my outdoor glass top table in the breezeway shattered into a million little pieces (for no reason that I could see). I was afraid the little stinker would go munch on the little pieces of glass. So, I carried him through there until I could THOROUGHLY clean the room.

Tha Glass thing, reminded me of the one and only Schnauser we have had ( Gabby). He got into the trash when no one was paying attention and got a top from a can that that had been opened and commenced to chew on it. He didn't shred the top, but did a darned good job on his tongue. It never was right after that, but the Vet did as well as he could to reconstruct it. Mo likes to run around with his nylabone in his mouth ( I guess it is his pacifier). He also has a stuffed Mallard Duck squeaky toy that he likes and will carri it around, or bring it to me to play fetch.

LOL I don't blame you for not letting him in your computer room... too much temptation there for him!

And, omg, what happened to the glass top table? :o Did something fall on it to make it break like that? I think you're doing the right thing by carrying him in and out, too dangerous for him.

Take care, Smax! :D

Hi Coastie! long time no see...

The one thing to watch out for with the Chew Toys is that most them are made in China, and there has been a lot in the news lately about a lot of toys (for kids too) having lead in them...

On the other hand, something made from more raw, organic stuff may not be a bad idea, but it may be more expensive too and harder to find.

But, I don't have a dog, except for my roommate's SheePoo and she doesn't really like playing with toys even though she has tons of them... she does get some organic bones and she likes those a lot.

Nope...it just shattered out of the blue. From what I have gathered from looking into, it can happen with those outdoor glass tables...likely just a built up stress riser from temperature variations.

Chew toys, at least the stuffed ones, don't last long with him. He had a mallard duck that squeaked, but he chewed a hole in it so it got thrown out. That was his favorite too. It is funny when he has his rope toy as he is always trying to get it to squeak and it doesn't.
