I normally make a point of NOT downloading the notifications onto my hard drive, but this evening when I get home I will make a point of doing so in the interest of intellectual intrigue. !http://forums.pcworld.com/legacyimages/

Come to think of it, I may have seen this so called paper-clip icon in my email when browsing through my main inbox view with all my emails on Gmail. It would generally be displaying next to the date and time that I received an email.

I sent a note to Bill, our wonderful forums engineer. But this is really low priority, and we have a lot going on, so I might not hear anything for a while.

Intellectual ingrigue satisfied. Moved all non-pcw e-mail notifications out of my Earthlink web-mail inbox, and then pulled all messages down into Outlook Express. (I can pull all or not go in - kind of like do or do not, no part way). No paper clips once the messages were in outlook express.
Very Interesting. !http://forums.pcworld.com/legacyimages/

Kellie - tell your programmers that on a scale of 1 to 10, this is maybe an 11. A good project for a rainy afternoon when all the other issues have been resolved.

LMBO.

What I absolutely love about these forums is the people. Why we do try to solve all the problems we can, it is the humor and friendliness of 99.9% of the people. That response was classic.

LOL Exactly, it's like a disease. LOL We find the littlest issue to solve and find unique ways of solving it. Oh, and you just have to love Adama's emoticons.

1! If the problem can't be fixed, at least you can smile and try to make the best of it...

Hi, mph and techie4fun! I just learned how to use Vista's Snipping Tool. So I'm going to show you my paper clips:

Do you see the paper clip next to the email notifications? Sorry, it's a little blurry.

Well, look at it as a good thing. I can just look at the list of incoming emails and pick out the PCWorld forum notices without reading the subjects. They are the ones with that thingy in the attachment column. Thank you PCWorld for making my life easier.

Hi, art. I think you hit the nail right on the head, my friend. They are easier to notice now with the darn thingy next to the incoming msg.
