My SD Works great on my Kodak c663 camera!!! I am always happy with SanDisk products. Even their customer service. But when i put it on my laptop, it doesnt work anymore. It tells me to reformat it and when i did, it said it can not reformat the card. Anyone tell me why? Thanks for the info!I bought this because of the capacity, not the speed. As a result, there is a short wait time for the memory to recover. This purchase was a fantastic value for me.

So are you using the same OS? So it tells you to reformat you that you can't not reformat the cameras memory card is that right? Have you installed the drivers on your laptop for your camera.

Is your laptop new, and is compatible with your camera?

Hi ITMan. I have renamed this Discussion title so that it better reflects your current situation. For future reference, please be as specific and concise as possible when posting Discussions.

Who is the manufacturer and what is the model number of your computer?

ITman - what everyone is asking is what make of computer (the logo on the machine) and what model number (usually on a sticker).

We also need to know what version of windows are you using.

Also what size of SD card? Some of the very large capacity cards may not be recognized by older versions of Windows.

Are you inserting it into a slot on the computer or are you using a card reader that plugs into the computer?

Okay, try this then. With the machine off, move the card reader to another USB port. If you are using a front port, move to a port on the back pane. (I know it inconvenient) If you are already on a back panel, move to the front. Do not use a USB Hub, but insert the card reader directly into an on computer port.

With the SD card removed, reboot the machine. When everything has settled down, insert the SD card into the reader. You should get the new device found balloon. If you do, then see if Windows Explorer will recognize the card.

I would not recommend formatting the SD card for a camera on the PC, but on the camera it is going to be used in.

Hi ITMan. Since it appears that your situation has been resolved, can you please change this Discussion to "Answered" and select the two (2) posts that you feel were "Helpful" and the post that you feel was "Correct."
