Is anyone offering 'pay as you go' broadband service so you don't have to incur a monthly charge? I would love to be able to use this service, but may only want to do it once or twice a month. I would consider it if I could pay maybe $10 each time I need to use it. But a $60 a month charge is just to excessive. Does 'pay as you go' exist?

Sprint has absolutely the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE of any company in existence that I know of. I don't use their broadband service--just their cell phone, as does my wife and 3 kids. None of us like their customer service, although the cell phone service is OK. But, as soon as our contracts are up WE ARE ALL GONE!

Verizon has a pay per day with certain laptops with built in evdo. I have an HP that supports this. Expensive! $15 per day. No monthly price unless you get a 1 or 2 year contract for $59/mo.

They really need to extend this service to PC and USB EVDO cards and offer temporary access for a reasonable price.

b2b.vzw.com/broadband/bbabuiltin.html - note the 5GB/mo limit.
