Firefox woes

Anybody having problems with Firefox and the forums? Luckily Opera doesn't behave as bad as Firefox is doing at the moment. It seems that Firefox doesn't like the forums pages. It takes forever to load pages and about 70% of the time that I submit posts, I have to reload the page and start over because it won't submit.
Internet Explorer is almost the same way... Opera seems to be working fine.

Do you have a firewall that might be slowing down your forum access? I have high-speed Internet (Verizon FIOS) and do not see any real slowing--except last night when I figured there was a lot of traffic on the PC World server.
However, I am also having periodic problems with this forum...and I use Firefox. I, too, have to frequently reload screens when I am working on a message. I also have issues with formatting, seeing a big mess when I do any cut and paste...or even a delete. I thought the formatting issue was with the editor this forum uses since I've tried both Rich Text and Plain Text formatting but seeing the same issues pop up with both formats...like indented paragraphs when the rest of the lines go completely across the screen/text area.
Maybe Mozilla should be made aware of our problems via Firefox?

So did I. I have been an proud user of the browser since I started using it, and I will continue to use it; however, I use the PCWorld forums like a drug addiction :D and I cannot stand slow page loads or watching "Your post is being submitted" stuck on the same page demanding a page reload.
In response to Neveramazed:
I have Cox High Speed Internet. I'm also running Zone Alarm for the OS firewall. I may have to tinker around to see how Firefox browses without my protection turned on.
I think i'll note in my journal log today that Firefox has officially become bugged for some unknown reason.

Hmm. . .Firefox seems to be loading slower than usual, today, now that I think about it. Are you sure that you just didn't have to much crap in your cache/cookies folder? (I have Firefox set where it deletes History, Cache, Cookies, Saved Passwords, Download history, and everything else whenever I close it.)

I'm sorry you've been having problems with Firefox, getting into the forums. It's really frustrating. I have IE and the other day I tried for one whole day to get into the "questions" thread and wasn't able to. I kept getting a Systems Error msg. And sometimes the pages load up so slow, it drives me absolutely crazy! So I know how it feels. grrrr X-(

Adama, I highly reccomend getting Mozilla Firefox. It is faster(by far), as well as more secure and reliable, then Internet Explorer. Its features far outnumber IE, especially if you install add-ons(optional features available for download; you can even download an IE7 background). It is free, and you can still use IE once Firefox is installed. And, did I mention that it is, by my calculations, at least twice as fast as IE as far as load-times here in the forums? And by the way, the game of questions loads pretty fast on Firefox ;

I think my Cache is pretty cleaned out ,but I'll go ahead and turn on those settings to have Firefox clear (everything) during exit.
I don't know what else could be the issue. Maybe I'm dumb enough to not realize that NoScript is interferring in some way, but I can't judge that until I actually turn the ridiculous thing off.
EDITED: TechGuy, it's Firefox :P

Greetings, Gang!
I took Zone Alarm off my machine and loaded Sygate. The forums are opening so much QUICKER than they were before. Time will tell how long this will last; however, I've been able to submit posts without having to wait, so perhaps Zone Alarm was the issue.
Did I mention that it took 10 seconds just go go from msn.com to forums.pcworld.com with Internet Explorer 7.0?

How is the amazing Adama? 8-)
Sygate would be Sygate Personal firewall, but the company was bought out by bloatmatic Symantec Corp "Founder of Norton CrapVirus" in 2005.
You can however, still download and use Sygate Personal Firewall.
