I tried searching for your particular model of wireless card but to no avail. I also could not find the Ubuntu hardware compatibility list for wireless adapters. I am guessing that it has already been discontinued by the manufacturer. I need certain details about it. Is it 802.11g or b? Does it work via the USB, PCI or PCMCIA interface (for laptops)?
Wireless adapters till today have a history of not working properly with Linux. But there is a project called ndiswrapper that aims to solve this problem using Windows drivers. You can take a look at the instructions on the website.
My best solution for you is to use a conventional wired Ethernet network. That is you best bet
