Despite all the problems on my main machine that I have discussed with you all, my computer still gets the job done, and not to mention: with style.

Here's a screenie of my desktop:

I usually change the wallpaper weekly or when I find a new or interesting photo. I like unusual photos or strange things. Maybe a shot of the shuttle or the space station. I really liked the flame fractuals where they ignited different gases in zero gravity, very pretty. Right now it's a photo of the SR-71 spy plane.Posted Image

TechyGuy:

Ewww...You have a dirty recycle bin. :^0

mjd420nova:

If you like changing your desktop wallpaper often and on the fly, give Microsoft's Virtual Desktop Manager Power Toy a go.

Snorg:

You call that a pretty bad smelling flower.

Thanks Adama!

I saw a few screenies of a few "busy" desktops but just like piyushsingh, I prefer to keep my desktop clean.

Hi, KJ. I love :x this thread. I like it when people get creative with their computers, because it makes me want to learn more too.

This HARMONY Everything In Perfect Balance picture is one of the pictures I have on my screen saver. I made it my desktop today so I could share it with you guys. When I changed it, it took over the whole screen and it made feel that I could just walk right into it. It really helps me to stay focused and in Harmony with everything, no matter what kind of chaos is going on around me. Sorry, didn't mean to go POY (Plato on you.) :^0

Some nice looking Desktops you all have :-) How did you get them sized down to load (2 MB) into the forum page? Did you use a photo editing software, and does Picasa have the ability to do that? my desktop

Thanks, I like the color and texture of your desktop. When you transfered it from flicker, was it already within the 2MB for this forum, or do they have a sizing utility there?

I believe that the forum and/or Flickr resize it upon upload. (If it is the forum, then it probably resizes it when you put the !image-url! to get it to display in the forums.) I do believe that Flickr has a file size limit, though.

Thanks for that info.:-) When I tried to upload my desktop into the forum, it groaned, strained, and started smoking, and said the file was to large to upload and post into the forum. She can be a bit temperamental at times :-)
