Hey Techie and Piyush!!
Isn't that strange that my post would just disappear?
Ok , I'll tell you what I think happened.
I posted or tried to post my desktop but, for the second time
in as many days it just won't print in the forum.
I tried a jpeg but the file was too large 2.84 mb. The forum would not accept a
file so large.
The I reduced it to 192kb using a png file and again the forum
would not accept the file.
It might have to do with the original format of the file as it was
a "gift" from HP but, after the second try I did not investigate further.
Hope this will clear up the air for you guys.

Hey Techie!!
I don't know if the new size of my notebook might have something to do with it.
On my 15.4 notebook I could up-load any of my desktop png's.
Now this one is a 17 inch and the first time I try and up-load a desktop pic
the forum says the file is too big.
I did have trouble with FF2 last week , so I'll try in IE7 and see if this is the
problem.
I might end up with another Blank .LOL!

Hey Flashorn, I usually just do a screen dump then paste to paint and resize it there before saving to My Pictures. Maybe not the best method, but works for me as I hade the same problem with doing a screen dump and then uploading to the forum TOOOO BIIIIIG. coastie

Hi [~60096] . I normally use VSO to resize it first (50%) or do before I post... www.vso-software.fr/products/image_resizer/
Seem to work fine...Won't loose much of the quality of the image from VSO.

Ok , here is the simplest and shortest way to get a full screen image here without using any 3rd party softwares.
* First press the printscreen key on your keyboard.
* Next right click the desktop and new bitmap image.
* Right click the new bmp created and click edit, which will open paint if you havent set it to something else.
* In paint ,press ctrl+V.
File -> save as . Change filetype to jpg instead of bmp and save.*
* Upload the jpg.
Remember changing the filetype is important to keep size in limits.
off topic: mph wont mind this. This is a general talk thread. hehe

Hey piyush, After you press print screen, you can then go to paint and then paste and it will bring up the screen dump. You can then go to attributes and change the size to e-mail size and save to my pictures or where ever. You can then upload from what ever file you saved to. coastie
