Been away for a bit taking care of some much needed yard work. Yeah, that brings back some memories as I've seen my share of sunrises and sunsets at sea. Not too many from the beach though. coastie

Ok guys, it's been about 6 months since I changed my desktop. I was pruning my Pictures folder today and ran into this pic that I've had there for a long time, so I thought this could be a nice change of pace.

I don't know low long it'll stay as my desktop, though, I guess I'm too used to my tropical pics. :^0 Haaaa.

Here you go:

Sunny, about 90 degrees and humid. There some T'Storms building in the area just about the time I finished up, but no threat here, just some rumbling in the distance. coastie

Hey Adama!!

Really nice colors.

Vivid and intense.

BTW, do you know about WorldWide Telescope by Microsoft Research .

This is download from Microsoft that you install and leave on your desktop.

You get to visit the stars and black holes in outer space.

It is said that this is way better than Google Earth.

I have it on my XP notebook but, haven't really played around with

because I use Vista now . Only open XP when I have to search for a

program or copy some of my old photos.

I completely forgot about it until I saw your desktop screen.

I will be downloading and installing as soon as I finish this post.

Check it out and let me know if you like it.

Hey lilx!!

Cool desktop!

So, from what game is this screen shot from?

And also, what's the program you use to change the desktop so often?

I remember you mentioning it but, I'd have to search all of those threads again.

You're not the only one who's lazy.LOL!

Yeah, that thing is pretty neat. Can't say that I'm into the ever changing wallpaper thing though. I get a little lazy, and it will stay on there until I just get plain sick of looking at it, and then I'll change it. :^0 Well, got a Dragon to take care of (maybe). Been trying for three days and it is Dragon 50 and coastie 0. It is in Neverwinter Nights 2, and there is a lot of loot to be had once that thing is gone. coastie

Hi Flash,

OMG, thanks for the awesome link, it is amazing!

I saved it to my Faves so I can check it out more thoroughly later, it looks like the download takes over 1 HR!! And it's compatible with Vista. YAY.

Hi Coastie,

Thanks. The 89 degrees is the weather that my fam in Hialeah, FL was having.

We've had temps today in the high 90s. About 1 hr ago was 98, and right now it's cool down a bit, to 95.

HAAA, my fan has been working overtime, I even had it on - on High - all night last night!

Hey Adama!!

I don't remember seeing anything about the download taking an HR. but, like I said

I downloaded it right after I posted and mine took only about 3 minutes.

You don't happen to have a dial-up connection do you?

I think I did see something about taking longer if you had a dial-up connection.

Anyway , if you have a dsl connection , the download shouldn't take anymore time than mine.

The installer is only 22.2 mb , so, not long at all. Go ahead and download and if it does

take too long then just cancel the download.

Let me know how you are making out if and when you install.

Hey I got the Pina Colada.........sorta. It is V8 Splash Smoothie called Tropical Colada. It is essentially a PIna Colada without the Rum. Pretty good, but would probably be better with the Rum though. I think we got to 90 today, and I was out in it working in the yard. The worst part was the Humidity. I think I've been spending too much time outside. I was told that I look like a refugee from the Islands due to the tan, but that is an annual thing anyway ( the tan). It was worse down in So. Cal. where lilx is. I heard this evening it made it to 106 in downtown Burbank. That was the stuff we had last week. Posted Image coastie

Hey coastie!!

What Heat are you talking about.

Right now it's 10:21 pm and the temperature outside

my door is 20C = 68F

At night it goes down to 14C= 58F

And today in the bright sunshine it was a blistering

25C = 77F,

heck, we still have to start the furnace it is so cold.

I don't really like the heat so, this weather suits me just fine!

BTW , coastie, did you try out that new Heat Monitor

for the PC naturally.

Here is screen shot of the interface

And this one is what you can have sitting in your desktop if you like;

Hey Piyush!!

Yes, this always happens when I try to edit a post.

In this case a screen shot will not up-load and I don't know

why. I tried taking another shot of the same item and both

times the pic will not up-load. The other one taken at the same time

and with Cropper did up-load. You should see my DOC. it is almost

unreadable because I keep editing the DOC. by adding links.

The links are so far apart that it will be a km long by the time I finish

adding links to it.
