ya , i just saw your updated doc. Its almost unreadable. You should try the plain text formatting rather than the rich text formatting. Rich text here is a bit buggy. Remove any empty lines that are there in your previous posts . It should be fine.

I start in Rich Text, then when I'm finished, I switch to Plain Text and adjust the line feeds. If I post in Rich Text, the first gap between paragraphs is compressed to nothing, and only the gaps between the following paragraphs exist. When I open it for editing in Plain Text, there are three blank lines between each vs the desired 1. If I switch to Plain Text before posting, there are only two blank lines between paragraphs.

It does not matter whether it's IE5.5, IE6, IE7, FF2 or FF3, they all act the same on all my machines.

that was the reason i asked {user:username=Flashorn} to try the plain text. If you do multiple editing and quoting after posting once , the rich text introduces large gaps. And yes, you are right , a new line in rich text counts as more in plain text.

See the good thing about my browser (aka Opera), it does not show any rich text tab. Have a look here.

So it does matter in my case a bit. The browser's intelligence keeps out the not so good rich text . lol. jk :D

Hey Flashorn, I haven't downloaded and installed it as yet. I did bookmark it. I have ben rather busy catching up on chores around here that have been put off, PLUS trying to off a Dragon in Neverwinter Nights 2, that isn't going well ( beginning to think it is undoable, but there IS a boat load of loot waiting if you can). Anyway, that looks liek it might be a good utility and am definitely going to try it. I am currently experiencing a problem with Spysweeper at shutdown,so I need to figure out what is going on all of a sudden. From what I was able to pick up from the Error message that was generated to send to Webroot, it seems as though something may be blocking it and preventing it from shutting down. Oh well, if push comes to shove, I'll just uninstall it and do a reinstall. Thanks for the link. coastie

Hey Flashorn, I got an oil fired furnace so that thing don't get lit until the temp drops into the thirties at night. Sounds like you guys are pretty comfortable up there at least until the "Dog Days" ( mid July to mid August ). Snorg may be a little warm if that West Coast heat has moved that far North into B.C. coastie

Oh yeah. SR-71 Blackbird Spy plane. We got one of those things parked out at the Airport at the Air Museum. It is sitting out front and you pass it on the road going to the Terminal. Haven't taken the time to get an up close look yet as I was usually either picking someone up or seeing them off, or catching a flight myself. At lower altitudes they lost a lot of fuel and had to be refueled after take off at higher altitudes due to the expansion and contraction factors of the plane. They had to build them loose to allow for the contraction of the metal & fittings at higher altitudes. coastie

I may have mentioned that I got to see one take off - when I was not supposed to. A young LTjg and I had gone from NAS Cubi Point (PI) to MCAS Iwakuni (Japan) to pick up a US-2B aircraft that was going to be used for a station aircraft at Cubi. We were delayed in leaving Iwakuni because the aircraft was not flight ready when we go there (despite what the message said) as it had loose stacks (exhaust). We then go chased back north to the Tokyo area by a typhoon (another harrowing story), and finally left Japan about two weeks late (we were only supposed to be there 3 days). On the way south we overnighted at Kadina AFB in Okinawa.

The next morning as we were first in position to take the runway and depart the tower told us to turn our aircraft 180 degrees (this would face the aircraft away from the runway - very unusual. Curiousity got the better of us, and as the S-2 was build as an Anit-Sub aircraft, it had bubble windows on the side of the cockpit so you could look straight down (or back), so we stuck out heads in our respective bubbles and saw on take the runway, leave the runway about mid way down and take off straight up. Although the Blue Angels do that now in stripped F/A18A's, it was quite a feat in those days.

And, yes the SR-71 was noted for leaking - everything. It grew about 18-24" in flight, and when it landed, you couldn't touch it for a few minutes because it would be so hot. The crew had to wait until it cooled down. They are still flying a few as research aircraft, but most of what it did is now done with satellites. By the way, this aircraft was designed without the use of computers as design computers did not yet exist. The metals had to be developed especially for this aircraft.

Which begs the question, since it has no design features in common with any predicessor aircraft, we did not have simulation programs much less the computers, and it used different materials than any other aircraft, and different fuel than any other aircraftt - just where did it come from?

There is an SR-71 in Macon, Ga at that Aircraft museum and an A-12 (original single seat version before designation changed) in Mobile at Battleship Park. It also the only one that I know of that right now is inside.

Hey Flashorn, Finally downloaded and installed that app. Again many thanks, as that thing is what I was looking for. It monitors all kinds of stuff. I have the CPU temp right down here in my tray ( 50C ). I tried to do a search but I swear that site didn't come up. coastie

Hey Coastie or Flashorn - I found where Flashorn posted the snip of the display box, but never found the link. Could you re-post the link?

Thanks.

I forgot about the temperature thing. I don't know what all we have out there at the Air Museum, but it is rather extensive although not up to the Smithsonian Museum' s Air & Space Museum which is now in two separate locations ( on the mall & Dulles Airport ). Those things replaced the U-2, which is still flying missions at times. They wanted to put a ship at our "PORT" ( James River ) such as it is. Some group offered the City of Richmond the CGC Acushnet ( I think). It was completely restored and was a SEA GOING TUG ( about 205' as I recall; not to be mistaken with the common harbor tugs ). You asked some pretty good questions about where the technology came from. AREA 51 ? !http://forums.pcworld.com/legacyimages/

Hey coastie!!

So, this one is compatible with your CPU?

I think it also takes care of the fans and your voltage .

It won't completely work on mine as I have a notebook

But, it is suppose to work with a full size tower.

One thing I think I forgot to mention (or maybe not)

This is a 21 day trial. I get a five second delay with a little notice

before it starts now. So, if did not mention it before well, be

forewarned.

I did mention it in the DOC. which I up-dated yesterday.

Let me know if this one is what you were looking for and

if it does the job.

Coastie - thanks for the link. It looks great. I have it installed on my XP side of my machine (dual boot) as I was working on it this morning. Don't want to get too rusty with the old OS! !http://forums.pcworld.com/legacyimages/
1!

As to the Blackbird - well it was developed by Kelly Johnson at the Lockheed Skunk Works which is at Nellis, AFB. And of course so is Area 51!

Hey Flashorn, that thing monitors everything but when I take a bathroom break :D . All I have to do is mouse over the temp in the tray and all the temps come up. I read the user agreement thing but didn't see anything about it being a trial version. Hmmmm coastie
