We are down to about 21 degrees now. At least we don't have the snow to contend with. By the time we get more precip, it will warm enough for rain. We only get our precip when it is warm. I was talking to my neighbor yesyrday when I went to get the mail. He said he was going to put his snow shovel on ebay. I told him it was probably a good idea. :D Could always use some extra money, and don't have a use for a snow shovel.

Spring has come to the west coast. Many records have fallen this past week with highs all over the state in the mid 70's, records that were set a couple decades ago. Seems a bit early but some of the trees are budding already. The orange and cherry blossoms have already begun to come out and that isn't usually until the first of March.

Yeh, I know how y'all are. I was stationed for a short period in Key West, and another aviator and I went to Miami for a day. We went into a men's clothing store and it was full of heavy winter clothing. We joking asked about it and the clerk looked at us and said, "Oh, it gets real cold down here, sometimes it even gets down to 32" We definitely ROFLAO.
It was a very cool 22F this morning in S. Georgia, and had warmed up quickly to 32F by the time I hit the road mid morning. Tonight in Florence, Ky it's 33F but feels worse than that with the humidity and wind. I had to put on my heaviest jacket and gloves to fuel my pickup. I just hope it starts in the morning, diesels are picky about the air temp.

Hi RGreen.
LOL. Yeah, 32 * is cold for here. The Air Force will be moving us again in July, and the areas of interest are as follows: Colorado Springs, Denver, Mt. Home Idaho, North Dakota, Montata (I think), and Texas.
Either place with the exception of Texas, will bring opportunities for Snow and cold, so it will be a big temperature change compared to Florida.

Hi techie, Knowing the Gov't. After having looked at the cushy assignment in the Florida panhandle, The move may be to North Dakota. They like to keep their people well grounded in reality. The best way to do that is to go from a Tropical assignment to a Polar one and there is nothing between North Dakota and the North Pole. Actually, there is nothing between Texas and the North Pole and the reason they are subject to the "Blue Northers" in the Winter months. If they send you somplace like North Dakota, Montana. or Idaho, maybe the next assignment will be for a thawing out period someplace like Guam, Hawaii, or Bermuda, although, I don't know if the Air Force still has a Facility in Bermuda.
