Here it is!

This thread is the place to find (and post) the batch files published in the PCW magazine. This is going to be a collaborative effort, as I won't be able to find all the articles myself. I'm planning to start my search in PCW magazines from a few years ago, and work my way towards the present. If someone could start on Jan 2008's magazine and work back, that would be great!

I plan on documenting the month/year, the page number, and who wrote the article each time I find one, and we'll go from there.

In addition, once we start to get a collection of batch files, I will convert the collection into a Document that everyone can edit. When adding batch files, please try to keep the same format that Kitrax stated.

I agree, document format is best. Also, since all of our magazine articles are online, you might want to add a link to the online version of the article, for those who don't have back issues to reference.

Ok, I've been crazy busy with work and classes this week, so I've only been able to find a few:

The best one I've found so far is Scott Dunn's article I found online: www.pcworld.com/article/id,115628/article.html

'Picture This: Windows' Hidden Image Viewer', Scott Dunn, May 2005 (this isn't technickly a batch file it can be made in to one)

'Toggle Your Screen Saver With a Single Click', Scott Dunn, October 2004. (this isn't technickly a batch file it can be made in to one so people don't have to mess with the registry.)

'Let Windows Handle PC Maintenance for You', Lincoln Spector, July 2005 (while this isn't technickly a batch file it can be made in to one and added to a "shut down" folder to automate the tasks.)
