Here's an easy one for you: For which band did Peter Noone sing?

Herman's Hermits... or if you live in Brooklyn, Hoiman's Hoimits.

Who sung the Welcome Back Kotter TV show theme song?

Yep... John Sebastian it was. That was too easy. Try this one...

Which group sang the song which started with the following monolog... "I dig a pygmy by Charles Hawtrey and the Deaf Aids. Phase one, in which Doris gets her oats", and what is the name of the song?

There was a band in the early 70's that did an instrumental called Popcorn. I think they were called the First Moog Quartet (or something like that).

I Googled Hot Butter and found that their version of Popcorn was a remake of the song. It was written and recorded in 1969 by Gershon Kingsley on an album called Music To Moog By. It was rerecorded in 1971 by Kingsley's band, the First Moog Quartet. It was rerecorded again by Stan Free, a former member of the First Moog Quartet, with his band, Hot Butter. It has since been recorded over a dozen times by various other artists.
