It was kinda electronic .Like Mike Oldfield ( Tubular Bells I, II, III ) . But he partnered with Jon Anderson to produce " Friends of Mr. Cairo " in '81. If you click on the link I provided it will bring you to Amazon and scroll down to where you can listen to a bit of the songs. Maybe jog your memory. It was a chart maker that year.

I didnt like the amazon page
I looked at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon&Vangelis
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TheFriendsofMr.Cairo
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StateofIndependence

I understand the type of music it was from reading above sites.

I will try to download "I here you now" excerpt.

I am interested to see about it, cuz the memory of it mite have went "poof" from the stroke I had when I was 40.

You will have to download A media player if you only have Windows Media Player. I could provide links to good and free players if you like. But first did you check you private messages. The "Your Stuff" should turn orange if you received it.

Peter Noone fronted a little known band from the 60's called Herman's Hermits. They had a little hit called I'm Henery the Eigth.

I too live north of the 49th parallel. But in the mountainous provine of BC. Because I live in a province, does that make me provincial?

Try this one on -- Who was the singer from the late 60's early 70' who played his guitar with only his thumb or fore finger? Hint -- He sang a Beatles song at the original Woodstoock

Hi flashorn, That chimp was something else. As for "State of Independence" the only version I'm aware of is by Donna Summer, as my sister has an old vinyl Album with that song on it. coastie65
