That's why we have this thread instead of just an announcement
That's nice to know, I was just making a comment that I learned as a young lad.if I were to have suggested a change in a gift when growing up it would have been the belt for me.lol that being said, call me when your ready to build my new system and we will get the components I want together.lol keep up the good work PCWORLD. G4acre ;)

No belt for me, but the present would've found a new home faster than you can utter the word "ingrate", with no replacement in sight! Then again, my father was a career Marine so we were allways involved in Toys for Tots which brings a lot of perspective with it. But we do want this system to actually be a Dream PC, not last year's Dream PC so if anyone knows of a "shipping" component that we should consider--by all means suggest it. There are a few new things happening in the GPU market, so that's one area we're keeping a close eye on.

Disclaimer: I don't care, this PC is still really hot, so don't take this the wrong way, because I would be grateful just to get it in its current shape.
Ok. The Dream PC is "outdated" now. Thats Moore's Law. It was doomed the moment you decided not to give it away in one month but in three.
Intel now has a 2 processor board coming a la AMD's 2x4 or the Mac Pro.
Additionally the GPU market has gone through some serious innovation, including a multi-core graphics card, and better physics (at least its announced).
Still, even in its current shape the Dream PC is still a bad ass computer.

Technically, they can say they used any sort of system to allot this dream Baby.and they never even have to award it,as they could say-Joe blow - in 2 buck 2 won. and none of us would be the wiser. only thing is that PCWORLD is a world renoun orginazation that has integratry. so they will most likley use an independent raffle orginazition type system. and I dought it will be any type of call in system as they allready said if you win you have 2 weeks to contact them to claim it. so it wont be a call in contest. Yo folks, I've started a blog on the build. I'll be covering just about everything of interest that I run into--good and bad. I've already had a couple of minor issues and I'll be posting pictures as soon as I remember to bring my camera!
Cheers, Jon B-)
