A COUPLE YEARS AGO, I READ IN 'PC WORLD' ON HOW TO STOP THE ANNOYING BOX FROM ASKING IF I WANT TO SEND AN ERROR REPORT TO MICROSOFT.

IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO DO THIS AND/OR REMEMBERS WHAT ISSUE THAT THIS ARTICLE WAS IN, I WHOULD MUCH APPRICIATE IT.

THANKS!!

Hi SBHarrison and welcome to PCWorld :-)

I have no idea what issue that article was printed; however, here are the steps to disable the Send Error Report:

- Open Control Panel

- Click on System

- Click on the Advanced tab

- Click on the Error-Reporting button on the bottom of the window

- Select Disable error reporting

- Click OK twice to close the windows

(You can also get to this same window by Right Clicking on My Computer and selecting Properties )

With Pleasure. :-) I believe there is a Document within this forum detailing these steps. If not, I will convert this Discussion into a Document so others can have ready access to this information. If you have any other questions, please feel free to post.

LOL I knew there was a Document already in place. Please click on this link to go directly to the document. It lists the steps for both Windows XP and Windows Vista.
