Hey,
I was wondering if anyone can suggest a good Remote Desktop Assistance program? I tried following the article in the October issue of PC World by Jon Jacobi, but as someone else also pointed out it was lousy in terms of instructions, or rather, lack there of (spent three or four days trying to configure the damned thing!). Someone suggested CrossLoop which I installed, peice of cake, and have used with a few clients, but I'm looking for something that doesn have quite the "lag time" and is free, or relativey inexpensive.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Supposedly, Windoze XP has built-in Desktop Assistance that can be accessed through Messenger. Here are instructions for using it. I have not gotten it work when going through a router...yet, but did get it to work when on the same internal network.
As to lag time, just about ANY remote desktop/remote assistance program will have some rather serious lag. After all, you are pumping enough information through the network connection to be able to display the remote desktop fully. That takes bandwidth. The faster the connection (on both ends), the less lag you should have.
