Hi,

I used to use Internet Explorer 7 a few months ago but suddenly when I would close the browser I would get the message "iexplore.exe - Application Error" "The instruction at "0x62304930" referenced memory at "0x62304390. the memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program"..[now i've switched to Firefox, but I've had to visit a few websites only compatible with IE which forced me to use IE and deal with that nonsensical error.

Why does that happen? and what does it mean? Can I change this around?

thank you,

Manuel

:D Hi :

A Google "Search" indicates that Error "0x62304390" most often occurs when either the Yahoo Toolbar

is on a computer or is using a Yahoo-related Internet Service Provider, like AT&T, Rogers, etc; do either

of these pertain to you ? Probably the Best place to get an Answer to a question like this is from an

experienced, trained, certified, Volunteer "Microsoft Most Valuable Professional" and many are on the

Support Forums at aumha.net .

Hi Manrayferns. Have you tried to uninstall and then reinstall Internet Explorer 7? If you have not, this Microsoft Knowledge Base Article will detail how to uninstall Internet Explorer 7 and revert back to Internet Explorer 6. Once this is complete, you can go back to Microsoft and download a fresh copy of Internet Explorer 7.

Thanks for the reply. Earlier itself, I deleted IE 7 and reinstalled it but the problem still persisted. So I deleted IE 7 again and never installed it again. I just used on rare occassion the IE already preinstalled with my Windows copy since April 2006.

So, do you recommend I install IE 7, see if the problem persists and then delete it following the link (Microsoft Knowledge Base)?

Thanks,

Manuel

Hi Manrayferns. Well, here's the thing:

Spirit and I were under the impression that you are currently using Internet Explorer 7 now. If you are using the default Internet Explorer browser, IE6, and you are still receiving these error messages, this would not be related to the browser upgrade. If that is the case, I believe you may want to refer this to the forum that Spirit suggested in his initial post.

However, if the error messages have stopped, then yes, go ahead and reinstall Internet Explorer 7 again. If you still get the error message, write down exactly what the error message is and we can investigate to see if the Knowledge Base would be your best course of action.
