i live in mexico and buy most of my tech items or large items in the u.s., though as years go by they have become more and more available in my neck of the woods.
i have not run into trouble getting warranty service either in the u.s., or if i have paid custom duties and in effect have imported them, in mexico. to get u.s. service i have sent the item back from a u.s. address and received the new or repaired item at a u.s. address, mostly because shipping across the border is very expensive and is sometimes fraught with customs peoblems.

Yahoo's Catch-22
you are just touching the tip of the iceburg here. go and read the yahoo Q&A forum.you will see that many, many users are having this very issue as we speek.yahoo has a big troll proublem right now who are report happy.these troll's enjoy getting peoples accounts deleted for any reason they can. yahoo has posted a few coments on the forum but most are generic responses.I had my Q&A top contributor account in PC security suspended and yahoo sent one form email and never responded with a human answer as to why.I helped many user's fix PC issues and that was it.I was lucky to not loose my email, but I am a paying usser AT&T yahoo service.I sugest PcWorld take a look at the forum and see the complete story and devote a hole arttical on the matter.it might save many people grieff from lose of there email.I have been looking for another forum of same format.if any one can sugest one,I would be gratefull.I will never use yahoo forums again.cant be trusted to play fair.

PcWorld- here is the link to the forum.go take a look around and see all the havoc the troll's are causing and yahoo's non response. http://suggestions.y...m/?prop=answers G4acre
