Hi all, I just received something in my junk box from the all new CompUsa.com. Acording to the thing, It looks as if they are intending to remain as an online entity. Not really sure, but that was my take. They had a good price on a 42" 1080p HDTV though. I think it was under $500 if I remember right. coastie65

Coastie, I remember how I used to call you "coatsie" at one point... oops :D So forgive me if I ever say it again. I never fully read your "exact" username until last week. Hehe :)
Did they get a new web site? I wouldn't have noticed if they did though as I don't generally browse the shelves on CompUsa.Com.

It was $799 unless they sent you a different email message. It is a Vizio 42" 1080p LCD HDTV...REFURBISHED.

Hi tff, I noticed that, no biggie. As for browsing their shelves, After my experience with the online store, I haven't been back.
Hi kellie, I didn't know that. I guess that explains why it looks like the CompUsa online store will live on, at least in name. coastie65

Now that would be an interesting combination. Newegg's service and selection along with their can-do attitude merging with Fry's can-do attitude and service and bricks and mortar locations. I have never had a problem dealing with either.
Just thinking of prowling the shelves of Newegg (at Fry's) gives me goose bumps and my wallet is screaming NO! I spend way too much at Newegg's, and the only reason I don't spend way too much at Fry's is that it is 4 hours away.
As to Tiger Direct and CompUSA, neither is/was noted for customer service, although CompUSA apparently took it to a new low.
