Ah... So it doesn't embed the video (as in Kellie's blog). Pasting in the address bar takes me to a Google page with the video as the first entry (It was the correct video). Cute girl... if you don't mind the smell.

Hey mcbarker! yes I copied and pasted in address bar and got Google. The first one is the YouTube video.
The monkey was intended for Coastie. Where did you see it?/

FLASHORN.
It replaces the bar beneath everyones avatar if they have "member" status.
(A few minutes later) ... and now it's gone.

It is { youtube } (but with no spaces) before and after the ID of the video, which is the part after the v= in the URL. It's { youtube }IVJ5ZEbf6F4{ youtube } only with no spaces at all.
That's exactly what I did... youtube within brackets, with a one letter space between each end of youtube and the brackets, and the video ID between both { youtube } with no spaces between it and both sets of { youtube } (exactly like your above example). The video seems to be working now as I thought it as supposed to (embedded in the post). What is the process needed to embed the video (as it is now)?

No monkeyman for you!
Now I have a vertical line of exclamation marks within a triangle down the left hand side of everyone's responses, and a gray bar on my posts. The first post I looked at after signing in had an exclamation mark just like it, and it was the same with the monkey man thing this morning. I'm wondering if this is a forum issue, a Firefox issue, or something else.

That "one letter space" that you mention is the problem, there can not be any spaces at all. Kellies example above does have spaces in it for demonstration purposes (otherwise you wouldn't be able to see the tags). So you need to do it exactly like Kellies example, except remove all spaces. The video is working now because I edited your post and removed the extra spaces you had in there.

Hey! It works... Thanks.
In case you dont know, youtube is terrible for people with dialup cuz it takes a lifetime to load, so when you do that you alienate dialup users.
Just because something can be done does not mean it should be done.
Fortunately for me I have blocked ALL youtube with AdBlock, I see nothing. ;)
